| Course Objectives |
|
Rapid changes in computing and telecommunications have been made possible by significant developments in microelectronics. A new area of study has now been developed – Information Technology. The use of computers and Information Technology has spread into all areas of life and there is a need for individuals to have relevant skills to contribute to its development and enhancement.
To gain the award of MSc, the student must first complete the NCC education Postgraduate Diploma in Strategic Business IT. After completion of the Postgraduate Diploma students must complete thetwo top-up MSc modules on line, with the University of Portsmouth however all such students will use the College facilities and be supervised.

Students are required to undertake the following course leading to the MSc:
NCC education (Postgraduate Diploma) Modules
• IT – The next five years/Principles of Enquiry
• Task Management
• Strategic Business Analysis
• Computer Networking and Management
MSc SBIT Core Modules
• Research Methodology
• Dissertation

Entry Requirement
|
|
• A Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent
• A non-IT degree but with at least three years’ work experience in an
IT environment, with some management or supervisory experience
• Five years’ work experience in an IT environment together with some
management or supervisory experience
Please note: For candidates whose Bachelor’s degree was completed in a language other than English:
• TOEFL score of minimum 80 or IELTS score of 6.0 – 6.5, LCCIEB
