CNC Program Functions, Machine Controls and CAD-CAM System

CNC Program Functions, Machine Controls and CAD-CAM System

Designed to give students an understanding of machine tool controls and the function of these controls. Students will learn about the concept and creation of a cutting program, display and set tool offset values, data input and output for machine parameters, offset data and coordinate systems, and the operation of different CNC machine controls such as Fanuc, Siemens and Fagor. This module also describes the concept for CAD-CAM Systems, using Auto CAD, virtual Gibbs and Microsoft Office. These software programs allow students to create parts geometry, tool selection, machining processes and effective cutting time.

CNC Program Functions, Machine Controls and CAD – CAM Systems covers the following topics.

  • CNC Machine Tool Functions
  • Cutting Programs
  • CAD – Concept ( 80 hours of computer based training )
  • CAM – Concept ( 100 hous of computer based training )

This module consist a total of 330 hours

Note: The above topics consist of many sub-topics which will be covered in class.
