STUDENT VISA Procedure

PROCESSING VISA FOR STUDY PURPOSE/Long term visa

/only for Polish territory/

Personal interview requirements for applicants willing to study in Poland

All applicants which apply for student visa must assemble all required documents and pay the visa fee

The date of a personal interview is set after assembling all the necessary documents, but not earlier than one week after the submission of documents.

The interviews take place two times a week, on Mondays and Thursdays.

Important:

  1. the interview will take place only on the day indicated by the Consul,
  2. applicant should bring all original certificates for the time of interview,
  3. the visa section will not process the application form:
    • for Indian citizens without documents of higher education legalized by  CPV Division of  Ministry of Foreign Affairs,
    • for citizens of Bangladesh all necessary documents should be attested by   the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of Bangladesh,
    • for citizens of Sri Lanka and Nepal it is requested to legalize the above mentioned documents in authorized offices of respected countries;
  4. document (original) confirming sufficient financial resources must be converted to USD/EURO by bank,
  5. all copied documents except the school diploma must be notarized,
  6. documents attached to application form have to be in form of appendixes,
  7. the list a appendixes must be also attached.

All copied documents attached to an application must be presented in original during personal interview;

The visa processing time will take approximately 14 working days.

The visa application form duly attested by the Consular Section must be used.

  1. Application form
    application form

    • Application form should be filled clearly /readably/ in capital letters or type written;
    • All questions should be answered, with no line left blank;
    • Marital status should be clearly filled;
    • Forms with any kind of correction will not be accepted;
    • Application must be personally filled by the applicant
  2. Current Passport

    • Passport should be valid for at least three months from the date of expiry of Polish visa obtained by the applicant;
    • Passport must contain at least two blank pages for visas;
    • Copy of passport pages with personal data
  3. All previous passports,
  4. Acceptance letter & confirmation of the fee payment at least for one year (long-term study) or one semester (in case of short term),
  5. Course commencement date,
  6. Brief CV,
  7. Certificate of  educational qualifications (class 10th Mark Sheet & Certificate, Class 12th Mark Sheet & Certificate, graduation Mark Sheet & Certificate – in case of PG Course) ,
  8. Language proficiency tests,
  9. Documents confirming sufficient financial resources for study in Poland,
  10. Bank account in the name of the applicant,
  11. The certificate about the possession of legal tenders in the bank or to the cooperative savings-bank having the account on the territory of The Republic of Poland Republic, in the height not smaller  than definite confirmed with the seal and the signature of the licensed worker of the bank or the savings-bank, on display at the very latest for a month before the frontier passage,
  12. A letter from the host or sponsor confirming support of the applicant during the stay in Poland including bank statements and bank certificates (from last 6 months), income tax.
  13. Certificate of no criminal record,
  14. Insurance policy for 30 000 euro at least for 3 months
  15. one photo Specification on photo for visa

INFORMATION ON PHOTO FOR THE VISA APPLICATION

  • SIZE 3,5cm × 4,5cm;
  • coloured, sharp, clean (pure) and contrasting;
  • printed on high-grade paper on a white/light background;
  • not older than 6 months and making possible the identification of the person applying;
  • made straight on, eyes clearly visible and both sides of the face, from the top of the head to the shoulders, so that the face occupies
    70-80% of the photograph,
  • presents the person bare-headed, looking straight on, with closed mouth,
  • the face cannot be covered by hair.

In the case of persons wearing glasses, the photo should conform with the following criteria:

  • lenses must not be dimmed;
  • the frame box cannot curtain no part of the eye;
  • no light-reflections allowed.

In the case of persons wearing religious headgear, the photo should conform to additional criteria:

  • the chin, the forehead and both cheeks must be clearly visible,
  • no shadows on the face due to the headgear allowed.

Examples of correctly performed photos:

Students have to apply for temporary residence permit visas prior to their departure to Poland.

Currency Requirements

ALL FOREIGNERS ENTERING THE TERRITORY OF THE REPUBLIC OF POLAND SHOULD HAVE SUFFICIENT FINANCIAL MEANS TO COVER EXPENSES SUCH AS BOARDNING, LODGING, TRAVEL AND EXIT DOCUMENTS.

· up to 3 days should possess financial means to cover the cost of accommodation food, travel expenses to the amount at least PLN 300 or equivalent in convertible currency,

· above 3 days at least PLN 100 for each day of stay or equivalent in convertible currency,

Documents confirming possession of financial means:

· traveler’s check or a credit card,

· certificate confirming possession of legal tenders in a bank or a savings-bank on the territory Republic of Poland, confirmed an amount no lower than stated above with the seal signature of a licensed employee of the bank or the savings-bank, presented at the very latest a month before the frontier passage,

· the original of the invitation /ZAPROSZENIE/ issued by the Provincial Office,

· ticket authorizing travel back home to paint of the origin or another state,

· document authorizing usage and right at of the possession of conveyance.

A foreigner entering the territory of the Republic of Poland should have sufficient financial means to cover heath  insurance, at last PLN 300 each day of stay or an equivalent amount in convertible currency.

Along with documents which can confirm possession of financial means foreigners requite the following cover costs to coverable costs of the treatment.

Students entering the territory of the Republic of Poland should demonstrate sufficient financial means in the following minimum amounts:

- PLN 1 600  or the equivalent in international exchanges for the first two months’ stay (for room and board), and at least PLN 100 or the equivalent in international exchanges for each day of the intended stay (approximately PLN 30 00 per month).


- PLN 300 or the equivalent in international exchanges for possible medical expenses for each month of stay.

PLEASE, REMEMBER THAT VISA PROCEDURE LASTS UP TO ONE WEEK, SO ALL APPLICATIONS SHOULD BE DELIVERED TO THE CONSULAR OFFICE TWO WEEKS BEFORE DEPARTURE TO POLAND AT LEAST!

EXCEPTION:

SCHENGEN UNION – visa fee is free of charge for:

  • children under 6 years old,
  • students going for study purpose or training course.

POLAND TERYTORY – visa fee is :

  • free of charge for suppose of UE citizen (only with marriage certificate),
  • 25% less for children and students till the age of 26 (school age children and students must attach certificate from school to visa application form).

NO BANK DRAFTS, CHEQUES OR CREDIT CARDS. ONLY INDIAN CURRENCY IN CASH WILL BE ACCEPTED.

    currently i am studying MBA, University Of Wales,UK, so could i get credit transfer to poland without any english tests. actually i am 27 years old. i am working over here as an accountant as well. so what could be easy way to study in poland. kindly request that i will get proper solution.
